After the Christmas Rush

What have you made for Christmas presents? Do you have a knit-worthy family or friends? Or have you just been knitting for yourself?

Sylvie was busy knitting socks for her mom, slippers for her husband, and the Snuggle is Real for her son.

Robin was busy knitting socks for her dad, a beautiful shawl for her mom, mittens for her fibre friends, and mug cozies for all. Sadly, her husband and son are not knit-worthy. But don’t worry, she did buy gifts for them!

We are now catching up on our “me” knitting. But let’s be honest, what we’re really doing is clearing off our needles to get ready for the Lopapeysa KAL, a traditional Icelandic sweater.

And we want you to join us!

We will be using the Briggs and Little Heritage which has a gauge of 18 stitches over 4 inches. This beautiful, 100% pure wool, is perfect for our KAL and very affordable. It will run from February 13th to March 31st. Prizes will be drawn the next day. More information on how you can win the prizes is to come.

Not sure what to knit for the KAL? Click on patterns for ideas. Robin chose to knit Treelight by Jennifer Steingass. Sylvie is thinking of knitting Elina by Tove Richter.

If you want to participate–and we hope that you do–head over to our online shop (top menu) and choose your colours and the number of skeins you will need by January 12, 2021.

Yes! We have an online shop! Exciting, isn’t? We just opened our little shop and hope to expand with your support. Our shop and website will be updated as we go along.
